What is Incest

Posted on September 30th, 2006. About Self Improvement.

What is Incest?

Any sexual activity from mere snuggling to sexual intercourse between members of a family who are not married to one another is called Incest. It is the type of sexual activity and what constitutes the type of connection that implies incest instead of sexual manipulation.

Some meanings consist of neighbors, baby sitters, teachers, priest or ministries and other people who affect a child and make an emotional attachment. This is the reason why statistical records are not being accurate because connecting these to incest and with similar things by the same name always create chaos.

Incest was identified as one of the most unreported form of child abuse. It is a form of mistreatment and deception of trust and power. Usually, any sexual act of any member’s of the family to one another is considered as such. Incest can happen to any family and to any member’s of the family. It can be a continuous problem from one generation to another. Since limitation has been passed, it creates confusion on the family roles. Family member’s who indulge in the act rationalize their action by defending themselves that they are preparing their family member is involved on sex and adulthood.

In a humane society where culture has been developing and is govern by laws, incest is an act of an offender abusing a family member. They are responsible. Parents or any adults in the family are still responsible for protecting their child or any family member. It is always that the person being involve on such action truly love the family member but does not know how to express and show is love!

High Energy = Instant Attraction

Posted on September 29th, 2006. About Self Improvement.

It was a drab Monday and I was in a black mood that day. My shoulders were hunched. I walked with a shuffle. I avoided eye contact. My normal “life-of-the-party” spirit was dead…. and somehow that shrouded me with a queer impenetrable invisibility.

Wherever I went, people didn’t notice me. The salesgirl failed to serve me. The waiter failed to pass the
menu. And a dog nearly ran me over. I might as well have been dead!

It felt oddd. That was the first time I ever felt like a none-entity.

Around lunch time I entered Starbucks and got me a shot of mochha frap. Zap! Almnost instantly, the caffein lifted my mood… and with it, my vital energy came flooding back. I automatically reared higher. My gait widened. I made eye contact. And best of all, I began smiling.

The magic didn’t stop there. With my personal energy flooding out my pores, I noticed an instant effect on those around me. Strangers greeted me with grins. A police offer waved. And a dog came to be petted. What a difference one’s mood does to those around us!

Here are some techniques to be noticed:

* Maintain high energy levels. Avoid heavy meats and starchy foods which kill metabolism. Go for organic veggies and fish.
* Walk with purpose. Keep your spine straight and take measured steps.
* Gesture with command. Occupy as much space as you can. Model after Pierce Brosnan
* Maintain constant eye contact. The eyes can magnetize even the most frigid.
* Vary the tone of your voice. Monotony kills.
* Greet everyone you see. The clerk. The officer. The vendor. Even the dog.
* Smile smile smile smile!
* Be distinct. Wear something decent and unique that no one else has.
* Have an active lifetsyle. Go to the gym. Play ball. Athletes are attractive because their personal energy is boundless.
* Mingle at gatherings instead of sitting at a corner.

Want to be the life of the party? Keep your mood up. Straighten up, smile and walk with confidence. And don’t forget the coffee.

Access the Awesome Power Within

Posted on September 28th, 2006. About Self Improvement.

Do you feel powerful? Do you feel as if you could tap into a well of power, and that whatever you set your mind to will come to pass?

Fact is, you are created to be very powerful. When Adam was created, God told him to name all the animals and have dominion. Naming your child, a pet, or a company denotes ownership. It allows you to have complete control over it. He was given everything it would take to be a success. Furthermore, God made you in His image. Can you imagine the power you would have if you were to relinquish everything totally to Him and allow Him to guide you in everything you do?

Here are the six main ingredients to tap into the awesome power that is waiting to be unleashed from within:

1. Purpose

You were created for a purpose. Spend time in the Word and determine the purpose that lies before you right now. Is your main purpose to raise the best family, be successful in your business, or help as many people you can?

2. Faith

Purpose is powered by faith. Without faith in the best outcome it will be difficult to attain, persevere and see the desired end-result.

3. Passion

Put passion into your drive! Passion is the opposite of fear. If you fear it – guess what – do it! Allow your passion to zap through the fear. Whatever is worth going for and seeing to completion always as an opposing force. If God is asking you to do something, then expect competition. However, once you make the decision to forge ahead, coupled with your faith, your inner power will make you an overcomer.

4. Preparation

Analyze what is desired from you. Work on building up your personal growth. Learn all you need to know about becoming the success you are purposed to be. You do this by taking extra courses, having a mentor, and spending time in the Word of God for direction and faith building

5. Plan

Be sure to make a plan. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail! Have it in your heart, your mind and even write it down so it’s always before you. Know your competition, ask for Wisdom to carry it out to the best of your ability, and stay focused.

6. Action

Lastly, faith without action is dead. Start – one tiny step at a time. Nothing happens in isolation. You have to put all the effort into it that you can muster. The more you put into it, the better the results, and the more faith and confidence you will develop.

Consider this wise quote:

“Failure is an event, not a person. Yesterday ended last night.” Zig Ziglar.

Lecturer in Information and Communication Technology devises a new system called the quick pic system used to start conversations.

Posted on September 27th, 2006. About Family, Self Improvement.

Conversation starters
It was found that conversation starters can help any person build bridges with other people. To throw in a quote forces the issue and makes it almost impossible not to have that conversation! Obviously the quotes must be uncomplicated to be remembered and used with great effect. Quotes from real life are more interesting to people and easier to use. Quotes can be made easier to remember if they are categorized. The key to good conversation starters is the relevance to real life so that everybody can associate with it. Using pictures to illustrate the quotes make them easier to remember and thus forms real good conversation starters. It is much better to throw a quote into the conversation than to criticize or blame someone and have to backpedal because of making a faux pas. Lots of times it is difficult to think what to do to get a higher level of conversation going and a quote is just the thing. In really tough situations maybe some “story starters” are needed, but then the quote gets too long.
Using a quote as a starter, it will later be easier to move the conversation over to ‘what about this company’ or ‘current events’. Quotes certainly serve better as a conversation piece than they ever did hidden away in some dusty book. In the home usually, quotes can be more than conversation starters, engaging families in a more realistic discussion of what happens in the house.
How it worked
The author got quotes from all over, from journals, from books, from friends, from anywhere really, it just takes some observation. The author said “When I started lecturing I always found it difficult to get going, because, I really wasn’t in to speaking in public. I started to write these quotes down in a little notebook of interesting quotes I like to keep. Then I did a little experiment: I began dropping quotes in any kind of conversation, and it worked. People always agree or disagree, and that makes a great starting point to get the conversation going.”
A Book
Some people use a few quotes all the time to start talking to unfamiliar people. With a whole quote book it can take the concept to a whole new dimension. Following is an extract of a few quotes from such a book:
I always prefer to believe the best of everybody – it saves so much trouble. – Rudyard Kipling
If you are not being criticized, you may not be doing much. – Donald Rumsfeld
Women’s lib claims equal rights; so how come diamonds are a girl’s best friend—but a man’s best friend is his dog? – Earl Wilson
While researching the subject the author found that to help to remember the quote better, it is best to categorize the quotes, and even easier to remember when it is accompanied by an illustration. That leaded the creation of just such a book. This little book is a pastiche of pieces from books, witty quotes and curious illustrations, with bias toward the funny. All short enough to remember easily. Great fun to read and great conversation starters.

Why do we look for the Dream Interpretation?

Posted on September 26th, 2006. About Chit Chat.

This article explains a few things about Dream Interpretation, and if you’re interested, then this is worth reading, because you can never tell what you don’t know.

Most people dream, some people chase and realize their dreams. Understanding dreams however is the key. A dream can be defined as experience of voices, events etc in our imagination or in mind. Oneirology is the study of dreams in humans. Human history is riddled with instances where dreams have been studied scientifically or have been a source of inspiration for artists as well. What is lesser known fact is that even animals dream.

Most of this information comes straight from the Dream Interpretation pros. Careful reading to the end virtually guarantees that you’ll know what they know.

What is dream Interpretation?
When meanings are assigned to dreams, this process is called Dream Interpretation. Different systems of dream interpretation have assigned meanings like in terms of future events, in terms of chance events during the night etc.
Many scientific researches have been made on dreams and these modern theories have more or less tried to explain as many facts found in scientific research like:
• The cause of dreams
• The purpose of dreams
• The content of dreams
• The varying frequencies of dreams
• The relationship between dreams and depression
• The possible evolutionary role of dreaming
Definition of dream:
Hall
Calvin S. Hall developed a theory of dreams in1953, in which he said that dreaming is a cognitive process. Dream was simply a thought or sequence of thoughts that occurred during sleep, and that dreams are just visual representations of your personal conceptions. According to his explanation, if you dream of being attacked by your friends, this may be a manifestation of fear of friendship.
Sigmund Freud
Freud first published his book “The Interpretation of Dreams” at the end of the 19th century. He had a different concept. He said that the foundation of all dream content is the fulfillment of wishes, conscious or not and the schism between ego and id leads to censorship of dreams. He said that only an understanding of the structure of the dream-work can explain the dream.
Freud listed four transformations applied wishes in order to avoid censorship:
• Condensation — one dream object stands for several thoughts
• Displacement — a dream object’s psychical importance is assigned to an indifferent dream object
• Representation — a thought is translated to visual images
• Symbolism — a symbol replaces an action, person, or idea
According to him these transformations help to disguise the latent content. Nightmares represented a clash between the ego and the id: the id wishes to see a past wish fulfilled, while the ego cannot allow it; he interprets the anxiety of a nightmare as the ego working against the id. Freud did a lot of research –self analysis and psychoanalysis on his patients before arriving to this conclusion.
Scientific American-theory:
Later many people also did a lot of research on dreams .A theory was put forth in 2003 on the Scientific American, according to which dreams provide sensory stimulation to the brain when the eyes, ears, etc. are still developing. Tests showed that REM-deprived cats developed visual problems. Analysis showed that there is a direct correlation between immaturity of an animal at birth and its required REM sleep like for example, the platypus, which is born without eyes cling to its mother for weeks and they need the most REM of all mammals; where as the dolphin, which at birth is a self-sufficient swimmer, gets almost none.
It also suggested that since humans wake more quickly from REM than normal sleep, dreams could have evolved to keep us alert for predators in the night. According to this theory nightmares could be a specialized form of this; a human makes a sudden, reflexive movement when he is woken up from a nightmare, which can collide with a beast that would otherwise have killed him.
Oneiromancy:
Dreams are also considered as a prediction of the future-oneiromancy or messages from the past and so people tend to interpret their dreams according to what they believe could happen or the object they see could mean of something. They look for signs to get their interpretations right.

If you just know enough about Dream Interpretation to make solid, informed choices cuts down on the fear factor. If you apply what you’ve just learned about Dream Interpretation, you should have nothing to worry about.
